New things to discover
New in, OASIS immersion offers among other things an immersive experience inspired by the magnificent documentary The Pacific Odyssey and the book Footprint, designed by director and cinematographer Guillaume Beaudoin. The result of an innovative collaboration with TV5 and Jean-François Ethier, from the production company B-612, this experience also features singer-songwriter Dominique Fils-Aimé and composer Manuel Chantre. From the Marquesas Islands to Fiji, Bora Bora and Tahiti, the images captured by the filmmaker will take visitors on a journey through majestic landscapes, while reflecting on the importance of preserving the sea as a source of life and inspiration. Sharks and the seabed parade before visitors' eyes in real size, making the experience even more realistic and immersive.
Societal reflection and movement
Other additions: young director and YouTuber Émile Roy is back with a refreshing new reflection on hope and resilience. The creative workshop Vallée Duhamel, recipient of numerous local and international awards, also joins OASIS immersion by offering a striking experience inspired by hygge, with enveloping music by composer Jean-Phi Goncalves.
Quebec know-how in the spotlight
The virtuoso Alexandra Stréliski still holds the bill for three immersive tableaux inspired by her music and her career; these are supported by pieces from the excellent album Inscape. Inspirations also relies on the contribution of many renowned artists, whether for voiceovers, music, writing texts or direction. Actress Sylvie Moreau, director Dominic Champagne, the music group Choses Sauvages, comedian Léa Stréliski and director Stefan Verna are among the many collaborators.
After water, space. We are dream dust »: this is a highlight of the reflections of Canadian Space Agency astronaut David Saint-Jacques, who brings to life for visitors the highlights of his space mission. Drawing on his experience, he transports us into the cosmos and shares with us what motivated him throughout his journey to space.
